The album gets an awesome review in Metal Hammer

Much against our expectations our album has been given a big thumbs up by the guys at Metal Hammer

“No doubt in part a reaction against the needless complexity of modern life and the soul-lessness of much modern music, interest in classic rock sired in simpler times is on the rise. Bands and fans alike, born long after the halcyon days of the early 70′s, are rediscovering the faint pulse of rock’s past and fuel-injecting it into the future. Enter Grifter, a trio from the Plymouth area who, after a couple of critically acclaimed EP’s and a shit-ton of gigs, take to the world stage proper with this, their debut full-length. And what a cracker it is. Massively though not excessively produced, it packs punch after punch with not a duff track in sight. Booze, broads, brawls and bad times. It’s got ‘em all. Leeds’ own Gentlemans Pistols make for a quick and easy comparison point, but if you crave the down-home honesty of Sabbath, AC/DC, Motorhead, ZZ Top, Zeppelin, Purple or any other real-deal outfit who know what time it is, Grifter will rock your ass ragged with change to spare. 8 out of 10″

Thank you Greg Moffat
